There is a Tie-Breaking process in NEET UG exams. That procedure is for those who got the same marks in the exam. It is not feasible to give the same rank to both students. The tie-breaking process comes into the picture now. The process is mentioned below steps.
- The applicant who scores extra marks than the other candidate in biology is selected first.
- After that, the applicant who scores additional marks in chemistry is chosen first.
- If both candidates have the same marks in these subjects, then the contender will be selected based on negative markings and incorrect answers. Those who will have less incorrect points will be preferred first.
- Finally, the applicants who will be older than the other nominee in age will be preferred first.
